Spring term is the busiest and most exciting time in Year 6, packed with opportunities for learning and growth!
Our topic this term is Global Warming and the impact of climate change on our world. This fascinating subject will spark discussions, inspire investigations, and encourage creative thinking. In English, we’ll explore a range of genres, from imaginative fiction to informative non-fiction, sharpening our skills as confident and expressive writers. In Computing, we will dive into the world of websites, learning how they are designed and structured. By the end of the term, pupils will have created their very own web page on a topic that excites and inspires them. In Art, we’ll continue building on the techniques developed throughout primary school. We will finish our painting unit before moving on to an exciting exploration of printing. In Maths, we’ll focus on improving both our arithmetic and reasoning skills, setting us up brilliantly for the next stage of education. PE days will remain on Fridays, so please ensure your child wears their kit to school.
Don’t forget to check our social media for weekly updates on what we’ve been up to in class.
Spring term is a time for growth, creativity, and preparation for the exciting chapters ahead. We’re looking forward to a fantastic term filled with learning and discovery!
